There are two types of projects that are very popular in the crypto space.
The first type
is the one that has high popularity before the token is issued.
Projects like Filecoin, ICP, layerzero, and ARB are examples of this.
They inherently possess popularity.
Such projects often have little opportunity in both primary and secondary markets.
The second type
is the one that initially lacks popularity but later generates a wealth effect.
For example, aster and even Hyperliquid fall into this category.
In fact, whether it's stocks or crypto, all wealth effects stem from sectors, and sectors stem from leaders.
As long as a leader emerges and reaches a certain market cap ceiling,
projects in the same sector often experience a certain wealth effect.
But remember, these opportunities are all in the early stages. Why do I say this?
For instance, during the summer of DeFi and this round of perpetual summer,
Ah, when there are too many people, it becomes a hard constraint; when there are too many people, opportunities become scarce.
Big opportunities always arise when most people are not paying attention.
If you don't believe it, look at any cycle; once a leader raises the market cap of the entire sector,
subsequent new projects often have very high valuations before TEG.
Even if they go live in the secondary market, the space will continuously be squeezed by sector sentiment, and opportunities will only become fewer.
Just like the current edgeX and Lighter, with past experiences as a lesson, now a large number of people are rushing in, afraid of missing out on big gains.
But I think going in now is not very meaningful; costs have been driven up to an absurd level, and the token is about to be issued, with too short an accumulation period; last-minute efforts won't solve the problem.
So, everyone should not blindly follow.
Even if you do invest, you should choose projects that give you enough time to accumulate points.
Such projects are suitable for planting seeds, and I will share the first project I invested in later.
