Institutional Confidence in Action: OKX, Standard Chartered, and Temple Capital Strengthen Digital Asset Infrastructure
We’re proud to share that Temple Capital, a systematic digital asset investment manager with approximately $120 million in assets under management, has joined an established digital asset custody solution that we developed in partnership with Standard Chartered Bank.
This framework bridges two critical worlds: institutional custody and exchange-grade execution. Under this arrangement, the majority of Temple Capital’s assets are held off-exchange in segregated accounts at Standard Chartered Bank, while corresponding balances are mirrored on OKX to enable efficient trading.
This means that Temple Capital’s assets remain under tier-one custody, while maintaining the ability to access real-time liquidity on our platform. It’s a structure that mirrors the traditional finance model, where custodians, exchanges, and brokers operate independently to enhance transparency and risk control.
Partnering to Advance Institutional-Grade Digital Asset Infrastructure
This collaboration is a strong signal of where the market is heading. Institutional investors are actively building frameworks that combine security, compliance, and efficiency to support scaled digital asset strategies.
At OKX, we’ve seen a clear shift over the past year: institutional players are no longer asking whether to engage with digital assets; they’re asking how to do it safely, efficiently, and at scale.
Across markets, fund managers, banks, and corporates are moving beyond exploration to implementation. They want access to the speed, liquidity, and global reach of digital assets, but within frameworks that align with the standards they already know from traditional finance.
This is exactly the kind of evolution we’ve been working to enable, that allows for the innovation present in the digital assets world to spill-over, with positive effect, into the realm of traditional finance.
Why Institutional Partnerships Like These Matter
For the digital asset ecosystem to mature, institutions need infrastructure they can trust. This means:
Separation of functions between custody and trading to reduce operational risk.
Regulatory clarity and alignment with established financial standards.
Technology-driven efficiency that allows trading and settlement to occur in real time.
By working with globally respected partners like Standard Chartered Bank, we’re creating a bridge that makes it possible for traditional fund managers like Temple Capital to operate confidently in digital asset markets.
The result is a model that provides the speed and innovation of crypto, backed by the governance and oversight of traditional finance.
A Sign of What’s Next
Temple Capital’s decision to join the OKX and Standard Chartered framework is part of a growing trend we’re seeing globally. Institutions want to participate in this new market and they want to do it the right way, through secure, transparent, and regulated partnerships that help to future-proof their businesses.
This is how digital assets move from being a niche investment to becoming an integral part of the global financial system.
As more institutions follow this path, the market will continue to evolve toward greater trust, stronger infrastructure, and broader adoption. At OKX, we’re proud to be helping build that foundation, partner by partner, solution by solution.
